Julien Auger

Julien Auger has a long history of creating collective acrobatic performances in the past. He started his performing career as a street performer when he was 11 years old. After studying circus arts first in France at Circus Center of Montpellier and at the National Circus School of Rosny-sous-bois, he graduated with a Bachelor of Circus Arts from the University of Dance and Circus in Stockholm 2012. Auger’s first professional creation was La Meute, that played around Europe during 4 years. After this he co-created and performed in Animal Religion’s Sifonofor, La WALF and 100% Circus. He worked as an artist for Company Escale’s creation Leurre H. Auger’s first experience as director for circus in a piece where he himself was not featuring on stage was for Codarts Bachelor program’s graduation show Tension Trail. Then he co-directed Bloom from the company Cirkus Cirkör in 2019. In 2016 he initiated Circus I love you together with Sade Kamppila with whom he has co-directed the 4 currently touring shows of the company.

Sade Kamppila entered the circus field in 2009 when graduating from Finnish Salpaus Further Education’s circus artist program, and directly co-founded her Finnish company Sirkus Aikamoinen. She has co-created Aikamoinen’s performances Skaala, Aisti, The Land of the Happy, Metsä – The Forest Project and DuoJag . Sirkus Aikamoinen was chosen for the Jeunes Talents Cirque Europe program in 2010 with their second creation Aisti. Aikamoinen’s works have toured the Nordic Countries as well as visiting France, Portugal, Iceland and Russia. Sade has worked as an artist for the performances CircusNext: Inedits, Cirkusperspektiv: Gynoides, Circo Aereo & Defunensemble: Concerto Planos, Mirva Mäkinen: Spherical Space, Circo Aereo: Smaller pieces, Cirkus Xanti: Pluto Crazy and City Theatre of Lahti: Sleeping Beauty. Sade co-directed Bloom from the company Cirkus Cirkör in 2019. In 2016 she initiated Circus I love you together with Julien Auger with whom she has co-directed the 4 currently touring shows of the company.

Julia has a Master’s degree in Cultural Professions from Lille 3. She got introduced with the circus field through an internship at Cirque ou Presque -festival, where she returned to work for later. Julia started her career as a circus producer and sales responsible with Kozh Productions, and continued to work for Monki Buisness, 100% Circus and Circus I love you. She has also worked at Festival Ay-Roop, Jardin Moderne and Festival Bouillants.

Pelle graduated as a dance pedagog from DOCH in 2012. He has been working in administrative roles with Möjlighetsministeriet and Dilettant. He co-organized the Young movers and Tanzmanege -festivals, and worked as a pedagog for Cirkus Cirkör, Kulturladen Dresden, Cirkus Le Fou, Nacka Dans och Teater and Viktor Rydbergs Gymnasium. Pelle also worked as a dancer for Korda Art in Motion, Fritidsresors hotell and Wagner Moreira.



Benoît Fauchier

Benoît graduated from CNAC in Chalons­-en-­Champagne in 2010, and from the Master of Circus Arts program in DOCH in 2018. He was the founding member of Cirque Kozh. Benoit has also worked with Mauvais Esprit’s Tube, Galapiat Cirque and Les Fees Railleuses. He has developed extensive knowledge in creative circus apparatus construction, and worked as the chief rigger and tent master for Circus I love you and Galapiat Cirque.

Oskar graduated from Salpaus Further Education in 2009 and directly co-founded his Finnish company Sirkus Aikamoinen. Thibaud Rancoeur

Coming from a classical trumpet background, Thibaud graduated in 2006 from FNEIJMA and CIPMA in Paris. Since then he has taught many drum and body percussion workshops, which are his speciality. Thibaud is currently playing in many bands of Caribbean music, progressive rock, hip hop, salsa, funk, jazz, reggae, electro, also playing in theater and dance performances. Thibaud works with a company he founded, DuoKor and has composed the music for two Circus SaboK’s performances. Thibaud has been responsible of the composition of the music of Circus I love you, Utopia, Beauties and I love you two.

Periklis left his career as an aeronautical engineer and his classical violin education to pursue new dreams made up of all­-terrain live music performances rather than of jet engine turbines. He is a self taught brass (trumpet/trombone/sousaphone) player with a love for improvisation. Periklis was responsible together with Thibaud Rancoeur on the composition of the music in I love you two.

Saana Leppänen

Saana graduated from DOCH in 2018. Saana specialized in vertical rope and pair acrobatics. She is a founding member and artistic director of the Circus SaboK  (shortlisted for Circus Next in 2022) together with Kert Ridaste. Saana has also worked with companies such as Circo Aereo and Circum Polaris and participated at the Young Stage Festival.

Kert  is a multidisciplinary Estonian circus artist who studied to educate himself with hand to hand as main discipline in Acapa, Tilburg, and then graduated from DOCH in 2018. Kert has been the artist and director in shows High Bling and Point Of You. Currently, he is the artistic director of Circus SaboK (shortlisted for Circus Next in 2022) together with Saana Leppänen.

Jùlia graduated from Codarts. She is founding member of La Campistany, performing her show It Happens and organzing performing events in The Netherlands. She has also worked with Meyer-Chaffaud, Rita and Rita and Circus Ronaldo. She is working as a guest teacher and assistant director for some of the group shows  in Codarts.

Philomène graduated from Stockholms Dans och Cirkushögskolan (DOCH) in 2018. Philomène started circus in a youth circus in Switzerland, gaining a high level in teeterboard as well as tightwire throughout the years. After graduation she worked for Cirkus Cirkör’s performance Bloom and is the founding member of Duo Red Pants.

Thomas has an Engineering degree from the French Maritime Academy and worked for Brittany ferries navigating the World until 2018. His love for the circus brought him to the performing arts world, where he has worked as a technician for Circus Medrano, Circus Borsberg and Cirque Star, as the technical director for Circa – Pole National Cirque in Auch, and with companies Cheptel Aleikoum and La Contrabande.

Elli graduated from DOCH in 2018, specializing in hand to hand acrobatics.  After graduation she worked for Cirkus Cirkör’s performances Bloom and Trassligt, and is the founding member of Analogue Acrobatics. Elli is also teaching hand to hand in Stockholm, and at various partner acro conventions.

Emma is a circus artist who graduated from Tilburg. She has worked for companies like Cirque Buffon, GOP, and Common Ground, and initiated her own project Elective Affinities. She is the co-initiator of Feminist Circus Initiative in Germany.

Davide Arra

Educated as a professional chef, Davide has worked in restaurants and festivals around the world for years. His travelling lifestyle has led Davide to discover the different cuisines of the world and deepened his knowledge in nutrition. Davide is also a yoga instructor, and currently owns a yoga studio in the island of La Reunion.

Carlos was educated as an electric engineer in Spain. His curiosity for the performing arts led him to work as a light technician for various touring circus companies  like Animal Religion and Svalbard. With Circus I love you, Carlos was responsible for the design of the gradin for the large circus tent of the company.

Besides being a professional cook, Rhianne has also completed a Master’s degree in Anthropology. She has worked as the chef for a sailing project wanting to install sustainable cross-atlantic trade and various festivals, mastering cooking both for large amounts of people as well as cooking in exeptionally reduced space at sea.

Mikkel graduated from DOCH in 2012. He is a founding member of Sisters Company (chosen Circus Next finalist 2013). Mikkel has also worked with Club Guy and Roni’s Final Grande, and won the prize from the public at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain. Mikkel has also worked with Dansinisiativet, Glimt and Sputnik and Wild Wonders.

Lola Stouthamer

Musician

Lola is a specialized in alto saxophone, but also proficient with the tenor sax, flute, clarinet and vocals. At a young age she was trained by mentors Liba Villavecchia (professor at the Escola Superior de Musica de Cataluña) and her father Paul Stouthamer (cellist and composer, trained at the Berklee College of Music), among others. She then traveled to France and studied at the Marseille and Aix-en-Provence conservatories. Lola currently tours with Banda Simfònica de Barcelona, Big Band de l’Escola Jam Session, and Rodafonio, and has played with various big bands and marching bands and taken part in smaller ensembles throughout the years. She has also worked in theater and multi-art productions.

Andil graduated from the University of Music of Stockholm in 2009. He plays the clarinet and various other instruments. Andil was responsible for the musical composition of  Circus I love you. Andil draws inspiration from his travels in the Balkan area and his noteworthy collaboration with Taraf de Haidouks. He is currently working with the bands Boreal, Skogens Alla Färger, FestiByn and EE&KKC to name a few. He also works as a music teacher in Kristofferskolan in Stockholm.

Oscar Quevedo

Oscar found circus arts studying sociology in Columbia. He has an extensive experience in street performing, and moved to Italy to complete professional studies in circus in Italy at the Flick school. Oscar has been performing around Europe with his cyr wheel at various events, and is co-organizing artistic events in Brussels.

Julie worked in administration of the notary before changing her life and pursuing her dreams of becoming a musician. She is a multi-instrument player specializing in percussions and guitar. Julie has worked with several bands as a singer-songwriter. When joining the circus, her professional capabilities in the office were as welcome as her musical input.

Brenda grew up in Argentina with a wish to travel the world. Her previous adventures included running a catering buisness near her hometown as well as working for several restaurants and catering buisnesses during her travels. After joining the circus, Brenda has both been responsible for feeding the crew as well as the delicious crepes for the audience.

Raphaël Perrenoud grew up in Switzerland training in Cirkul as a youngster. He moved to France to pursue his dream of becoming a professional circus artist and graduated from the National Circus School of Rosny-sous-bois in 2008. Since then, Raph has travelled the world encountering the multitude of circus it has to offer through performing, teaching and writing. He is the author of 2 books, Autour du thé and Avant de partir. Another one of his passions is tea, and you will never find him without his teapot and cups ready to serve you the most delicious varieties.

Emmanuel Buzzanca

Emmanuel has extensive experience in the technical side of performing arts. He has been working as the light and sound manager, a stage hand and a team leader for various events and festivals like the Montreux Jazz Festival. He has also worked as a carpenter, bringing welcome building and fixing experience into the crew. Manouch’s artistic side comes to bloom in his work as DJ Cut Juanez. He also hosts and produces his radio show Hacumbia Matata.

Irene has extensive experience of sales and production of performing arts. She has worked with Cirkus Cirkör as touring manager and international sales responsible for many years. Irene also has an interest for holistic well being, and is pursuing an education in the area alongside her work in the performing arts field.

Audrey Olivetti

Audrey’s practice is built in the artistic relam midway between theatre, sound installation and set design. She has also worked in administrative tasks at Théâtre du Mouvement, and as the accountant of Synaps, an association producing and diffusing independant films. Her multifaceted competences were brining her to work as the roustabout of the circus during the season 2023.
